The Royal Canadian Legion Wedgeport Branch 155 and West Pubnico Branch 66 are once again partnering with the Municipality of Argyle to proudly present the Veterans Memorial Banner Program.

This initiative honours veterans from across Canada by displaying full-colour, double-sided banners in local communities leading up to Remembrance Day. Following the success of the 3 years program—which saw over 100 banners proudly displayed across five communities—this year’s edition will continue that meaningful tribute.

Program Details:

• 45 banners available (5 per municipal district), selected by lottery draw.
  • New applicants will be getting first priority over renewals
• Submit your request by 4:30 p.m. on June 20, 2025 with the following:
  • Your Municipal Councillor’s name
  • The veteran’s name and service details
• Email entries to:
  • Districts 1–5: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
  • Districts 6–9: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
• Cost: $175 per banner (tax and shipping included)
• Banner size: 24” x 48”, double-sided
• Displayed in: West Pubnico, East Pubnico, Argyle, Tusket, and Wedgeport
• Banners will be installed by October 15 and removed before November 20
• The Municipality will store banners for up to 3 years
• Open to residents of the Municipality of Argyle
